To be labelled Extra Virgin Olive Oil it must have absolutely NO additives. The IOC (International Olive Council) defines an Extra Virgin Olive Oil as: “Oil produced by using only olives, extracted without excess heat or solvents (or any chemical treatments). After production, the olive oil is not mixed with any other type of oil".
